Summer Camp

Ziegler Park Summer Camp, a partnership between 3CDC and Youth Hope Cincinnati, got its start in 2017, shortly after the park reopened to the public following a $32 million renovation. Located in the Pendleton neighborhood, near Over-the-Rhine, Ziegler Park creates an engaging atmosphere for local youth including a playground area, interactive water feature, basketball courts, and a full-size swimming pool featuring a diving well and diving boards, climbing wall and 5 regulation lap lanes with diving platforms.


Together, 3CDC and Youth Hope started this summer camp for neighborhood youth ages 7-13 years old. Campers participate in daily activities including basketball, exercise, swimming, chess instruction and more! Campers are also provided the unique opportunity to learn from the Ziegler Park Summer Camp Youth Mentors, who are upperclassmen or recent high school graduates from the Cincinnati Public School system and neighboring districts. In 2018, we had 80 campers participate in our 8-week program. For the summer of 2019, we are expanding the program to 9-weeks running from June 4- August 1st daily from Tuesday through Thursday.


Youth Hope Cincinnati and 3CDC are committed to providing a quality, low-cost camp. This year we are implementing a camp fee of $100 per camper for the 9-week program. The camp fee is less than $4 per day and 91% below the average cost of other summer camps in the area. We are implementing this fee to sustain the program long term and ensure quality programming. We believe that no child should be excluded from camp due to the inability to pay. If a family needs financial assistance, we have a scholarship program available.


To register your child please complete the following steps:

  1. Fully complete the registration form.
    Note: If you are unable to complete the registration form online, paper registration forms are available at the 3CDC office.
  2. Pay camp deposit of $10 per child. The camp deposit is due with online registration form. A credit/debit card is the only method of payment accepted online. This deposit will be applied to camp fee of $100.
  3. You must fill out the registration form in its entirety and submit payment for camp deposit in order for your registration to be processed.

PLEASE NOTE: Space is limited to the first 80 campers with paid camp deposits.
